Pestalozzi, as quoted by Charlotte Mason, said, “Mothers are qualified, and qualified by the Creator Himself, to become the principal agent in the development of her child.”
You do not need the experts. All you need to do is use the common sense that God gave you. Do not let anyone tell you what is best for your child. You already know what is best for your child because God has given you knowledge of that child.
That being said, one should seek counsel. Parenting is such a serious responsibility that all mothers should constantly be learning how to be a better parent. But be careful of the source of advice. If it does not align with God’s word, do not listen. And do not get so caught up in listening to advice that you begin to doubt your ability to parent. Remember: God chose the parents of those children.
